Collection: PURECO silk finish paint

Pureco products are low or zero VOC (volatile organic compounds). High VOC cause ozone and smog and contribute to harmful health effects.

-Self sealing, low sheen finish.

-Easy to clean and stain-resistant finish.

-Minimal prep is required on your projects. Brush, roller or spray.

-Proudly Australian made 

Sealing, waxing and top coating are not required.

Preparing Your Surface:

 * Clean the substrate thoroughly with Pureco Lemon Myrtle Cleaner.

 * Sand away any flaking paint.

 * Lightly scuff shiny surfaces to enhance adhesion.

Priming:

 * Apply a Base & Blocker 

Painting with Silk Finish:

 * Ensure your Silk Finish Paint is thoroughly mixed.

 * Apply paint using a brush, spray, or roller.

 * For optimal results: Use a smooth synthetic brush or a 4mm nap roller. Apply in long, even strokes, avoiding overworking the paint. Apply in light coats, feathering and spreading the paint to smooth it out.

 * Drying and Curing: Allow 2 hours between coats. The cure time is 7-21 days, varying with climate. Higher humidity extends cure time.

Spraying:

 * For spraying, Silk Finish can be diluted up to 15% without affecting the built-in top coat.

 * For greater dilution (e.g., for spraying or a wash), an additional sealer is required.

Tannin Bleed:

 * If tannin bleed occurs, use Base & Blocker overnight for optimal blocking.

* Pureco waxes are not needed with Silk Finish as they will tend just slide around and not absorb into the coating. If wanting to add an aged look or white wash look over the top try Pureco Stain & Glazes.

Using Pureco base & blocker primer under the silk finish is highly recommended

THIS MEANS THEY ARE SLIGHTLY TRANSLUCENT AND WILL REQUIRE MORE COATS TO ACHIEVE AN OPAQUE FINISH.
